Our Management Team

Graeme Badland - Executive Chairman
As a well-known and respected veteran of the New Zealand tourism industry, Graeme certainly knows his stuff. His experience spans many years and, prior to starting Pacific Destinations in 1996, included key roles in major New Zealand and Australasian tourism companies.
James Sowane - Managing Director Fiji
James has been involved in the Fiji Tourism industry since 1994, upon graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Tourism & Business Marketing from Lincoln University, Christchurch, New Zealand. James has served on various industry committees and boards including Tourism Fiji and he is the current President of the Society of Fiji Travel Associates.
Lala Sowane - Director of Finance & Operations
Lala is an Accountant by profession and in addition to her overseeing the finances of the business, she manages the day to day operations of Pacific Destinations Fiji of which she is also a company director. She is a graduate of Lincoln University, New Zealand and worked with then Price Waterhouse prior to her joining the business.
Mark Badland - Managing Director
Mark has accumulated well over a decade of experience in the world of South Pacific travel. He’s focused on the English speaking and developing markets and is our resident specialist when it comes to special interest, incentives and sports groups too.
Janet Neesham - Director International
With over 20 years experience in South Pacific inbound travel and the ability to speak several European languages under her belt, Janet has a strong understanding of the specific requirements of the different European and Latin cultures we deal with.
